Hello and welcome! My name is Teresa, also known as TED, founder of Ted’s Wig Emporium and a fellow hair loss warrior living with androgenic alopecia. 🀍

Β

My own hair loss journey began in my late 20s with thinning hair and the constant worry that people would notice or comment.I cringed every time I looked at photos of myself as all I could see was my sparse hairline and frizzy lifeless hair. All I ever wanted was long beautiful hair and spent a fortune looking for that miracle cure. One day I decided to try alternative hair. This was the most liberating experience I’ve ever had.

When I started wearing wigs, I quickly realised that what mattered most to me was finding hair that lookedΒ natural and never β€œwiggy.”

Β I wanted hair that felt believable, comfortable and effortless enough for everyday life. And that experience became the inspiration behind Ted’s Wig Emporium.

More than a wig

As someone who has walked this path myself, I know that choosing alternative hair can feel overwhelming at first.

There are different cap constructions, densities, colours, lengths, hair types and styles to consider. And when you're already feeling vulnerable about your hair, knowing where to start can feel like a lot.

That's why we're here.

At Ted’s Wig Emporium, we offer honest advice, genuine support and a welcoming community where you can explore your options without pressure.

Β

Natural is everything

We specialise in natural-looking alternative hair with realistic densities, carefully considered hairlines and wearable styles designed to enhance your confidence without looking overdone.

Every piece is selected with comfort, realism and confidence in mind β€” because we understand how important it is to look in the mirror and still feel like yourself.

Β

For me, it's never just about selling you a wig.

It's about helping you find hair that feels right for you.

Β

Whether you're just beginning your wig journey or you've been wearing alternative hair for years, we're here to support you every step of the way.
